Wireshark captures network traffic and lets you inspect it packet by packet, decoding hundreds of protocols. Network engineers and security professionals use it to troubleshoot connection problems and understand what is happening on a network.
It is free and open source. Reading the results takes networking knowledge, and you should only capture traffic on networks you are authorised to monitor.
