Obsidian is a note-taking app that stores everything as plain Markdown files on your own computer. You link notes together to build a personal knowledge base, and a graph view plus thousands of community plugins add features as you need them.
It is free for personal and commercial use. Sync between devices and web publishing are optional paid add-ons, and the program itself is not open source.
